  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with a paper towel and check for any small bones.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and chili flakes (if using).
  3. Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the fillets and let them rest for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375-400°F) and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the tilapia fillets on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes on one side without moving them.
  6. Carefully flip the fillets and grill for another 3-4 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. For the salsa, gently mix diced avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño (if using), lime juice, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  8. Serve the grilled tilapia hot with a generous scoop of tomato-avocado salsa on top.

Notes
