- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 12 oz spaghetti
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and cook until soft.
- Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
- Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Stir in garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, red pepper flakes, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook for another 2 minutes to release the flavors.
- Add crushed tomatoes and let simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions and drain.
- Toss spaghetti with the beef sauce until well combined.
- Garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the sauce simmer longer or add a splash of red wine.
