Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the potatoes thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for 15-30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the slices completely dry.
- Toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, and optional seasonings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even crispiness.
- Remove and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra crispy chips, make sure to dry the potato slices completely before air frying. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking.
